Bay Window Rebuild, Hampton, London
The owners of the house were very excited by the prospect of reinstating the original Bath stone bay window to the front elevation of their property. The house was situated on a very pretty road and all of the houses had matching bay’s. We took exact dimensions and details from the neighbours house and with these created a new, hand carved, bay window. You will notice that there is no guttering running around the front of the bay window. This is because we created a gutter within the stone of the moulded cornice section. This was fully leaded to ensure no water damage to the stone. We also changed the slates on the roof to a natural welsh slate and re-leaded all elements of the bay window roof. The owners were so happy with their new, natural Bath stone bay window, that they decided not to paint it and showcase the aesthetic of the beautiful natural Bath stone.
